As Daredevil: Born Again nears its end – with just two episodes remaining – the show is taking a decidedly darker turn. The latest episode, “Requiem,” focuses on the fallout from Vanessa Fisk’s (Ayelet Zurer) death, and Wilson Fisk fully embraces his ruthless “Kingpin” persona, showing absolutely no compassion to anyone who stands in his way or disappoints him.
Matt Murdock, also known as Daredevil (played by Charlie Cox), and his friends are finding themselves increasingly cornered. Despite assistance from fellow hero Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), they suffer setbacks in their final attempt to defeat Kingpin. While Daredevil and Kingpin are consumed by their rivalry, a new threat is quietly rising from the resulting chaos.
Dr. Glenn Is Headed For A Dark Change

I have to admit, when Dr. Heather Glenn first appeared in Daredevil: Born Again, I thought she might just be a side character. But it’s becoming clear that everything this season has a purpose. Seeing what happened to her in Season 1 – nearly being killed by her patient, the serial killer Muse, and then having to kill him – it’s really taken a toll. You can see she’s clearly struggling with PTSD, and honestly, all the new violence and chaos around her seems to be making things even worse for her. It’s heartbreaking to watch, but it feels like a really important part of the story.
Okay, so Episode 6 was intense. After Vanessa’s funeral, I was already reeling, but then things got really twisted. Dr. Glenn went into Vanessa’s room and, I don’t know, almost instinctively took one of her earrings as a memento. It was heartbreaking, but then Buck Cashman walked in, and things got even weirder. There’s always been something between them, and he saw something changing in Glenn – a darkness. And he… let her strangle him? It was shocking! He basically pushed her to give in to her rage, and it was a huge turning point for her character, showing how far she’s willing to go.
Glenn flees from Buck, disturbed by how easily she resorted to violence. It’s obvious the doctor she once was has changed irrevocably, and for the worse. For those familiar with Marvel comics, they know this transformation will be complete and terrifying.

Marvel’s Dark History With “Muse 2”

In Marvel comics, the original Muse was a supervillain with powers who was also a serial killer. Daredevil initially stopped him, but he escaped while Wilson Fisk (aka “Mayor Fisk”) was in power. Muse then began killing again and taunted Fisk by painting large pictures of the heroes Fisk was trying to defeat. Eventually, he was defeated by Blindspot—the vigilante he had blinded in a previous attack—and chose to kill himself rather than be captured or revealed.
When the villain Muse died, his wickedness continued. His spirit began to guide artist Morgan Whittier, fueling both her creativity and a deadly series of crimes as she became a successor, Muse II.
Fans are curious if the Daredevil: Born Again storyline is following a similar path to the Muse storyline from the comics, just like it did with the first Muse arc. Many are also puzzled why such a talented actress, Margarita Levieva (known from shows like Star Wars: The Acolyte, The Blacklist, and The Deuce), would take a role that appears to be cut short. However, a subtle hint – Dr. Glenn’s emotional reaction echoing Muse’s mask – suggests the story will likely unfold in a way that satisfies viewers.
