Many great shows have been cancelled before their time, and one of them—a sitcom starring an actor from the Marvel Cinematic Universe—was particularly overlooked. It only lasted 18 episodes before ABC cancelled it in January 2013, and the final eight episodes were released online only. Now, after 12 years, all 26 episodes are available to stream for free, giving fans a chance to revisit the show.
You can now watch all 26 episodes of Krysten Ritter’s sitcom, Don’t Trust The B—- In Apartment 23, on Tubi. The show, which originally aired on ABC before Ritter became known for her Marvel roles in Jessica Jones, The Defenders, and Daredevil: Born Again, centers around Chloe, a wild and manipulative woman who makes life difficult for her roommates. When an optimistic woman named June moves to New York City and ends up living with Chloe, the two form an unexpected friendship while dealing with the craziness of city life, eccentric neighbors, and a comical take on actor James Van Der Beek.
Krysten Ritter’s Don’t Trust the B—- In Apartment 23 Deserved More Seasons
It’s too bad Don’t Trust The B—- In Apartment 23 didn’t last longer. The show was truly unique and ahead of its time, offering a sharp, self-aware take on sitcoms with a willingness to push boundaries. James Van Der Beek even played a fictionalized version of himself, which added to its originality. What really made it special was the hilarious chemistry between Krysten Ritter’s wild character, Chloe, and Dreama Walker’s sweet and innocent June. They delivered quick, witty humor while also creating a surprisingly touching friendship.
It’s been over ten years since Don’t Trust The B—- In Apartment 23 was cancelled, but fans have consistently campaigned for its return. Multiple online petitions have asked ABC to reconsider, and the show’s star, Krysten Ritter, has also voiced her desire for a revival. In 2018, she actively encouraged fans to promote the show on social media, even directly appealing to Netflix to make it happen. Although a revival hasn’t materialized, the series has found a new audience and remains popular as a streaming favorite.
What’s New on Tubi?
As a total movie and TV buff, I was excited to see what Tubi added to their free streaming service this month! They dropped a bunch of stuff on April 1st, and I’m especially happy about it. For TV, they’ve got the fun series Don’t Trust The B—- In Apartment 23, plus more He-Man and The Masters of The Universe and even seasons 4-6 of Married…with Children! And the movie selection is awesome – classics like Airplane! and Legally Blonde, plus all three Scary Movie films, House of Gucci, Saving Private Ryan, the original Scream trilogy, and Man on Fire. Seriously, there’s something for everyone!
