Hasbro just launched the second series of their Transformers NFL toys, combining popular football teams with the Transformers universe. Each figure transforms from a robot into a football helmet with 23 steps and comes with a miniature football and helmet accessory. This new wave includes three additional teams, and you can find them now at retailers like Entertainment Earth and Amazon, as well as other toy stores.

Beyond team colors and logos, each robot toy gets a unique name inspired by the Transformers, giving them more personality. For example, the Buffalo Bills are represented by “Blizz-herd,” a reference to the tough New York winters. The San Francisco 49ers get “Goldrush,” a playful connection to the team’s past, and the Minnesota Vikings are known as “Skolgrin” – the most intimidating name of the three. Despite their team affiliations, all three robots feature the Autobot symbol, suggesting they battle against the Decepticons and Megatron.

Along with Steelsmash (Pittsburgh Steelers), KC-59 (Kansas City Chiefs), Starblitz (Dallas Cowboys), and Tundra Prime (Green Bay Packers – the only bot with a “Prime” designation), these three new bots bring the total number of NFL teams represented in this series to seven out of 32. Hopefully, a bot for my favorite team will be released soon!
