7 Marvel Heroes Worthy of Joining the Avengers

The Avengers are central to everything happening in the Marvel Universe. They’re the team everyone calls on when the world faces its most dangerous threats, and being an Avenger signifies reaching the highest level of heroism. It’s a team for truly exceptional heroes who can work together to defeat planet-threatening enemies. Throughout the years, nearly all of Marvel’s most popular heroes have been a part of the Avengers.

What really stands out is how many incredible Marvel heroes haven’t yet become Avengers. There are so many who’ve done amazing things, but still haven’t worn the ‘A’ symbol. Honestly, they deserve to be Avengers by now. Here are seven Marvel heroes who are absolutely worthy of joining Earth’s mightiest heroes.

7) Madrox

The X-Factor team has a surprising amount of talent, but its most valuable member isn’t a well-known mutant like Havok or Iceman—it’s Jamie Madrox, also known as the Multiple Man. His ability to create copies of himself is incredibly useful. He can send these duplicates out to gather information and then reabsorb them, instantly gaining their knowledge and experiences. This has made him a true expert in almost every skill a superhero needs. He’s quietly one of the most capable mutants in the Marvel Universe and deserves to join the Avengers. It would be great to see him working alongside heroes like Iron Man and contributing to Captain America’s strategies – he’d be a perfect fit for the team.

6) Speedball

For a long time, people underestimated Speedball, but he’s actually incredibly powerful. While his ability to bounce around made him seem like a joke, he was secretly absorbing and releasing energy from impacts. After a massive explosion in Stamford, Connecticut during the Civil War event, his powers changed, becoming linked to his pain levels and allowing him to unleash stored energy. Though his powers have returned to normal, he’s now much more skilled and dangerous than before. He’s in a good position to join the team and, with a little encouragement, could become a key member.

5) Medusa

Okay, let’s be real – that failed Inhumans attempt really hurt the franchise’s reputation. But even after that, Medusa remains a fan favorite, and it’s easy to see why. She’s not just Black Bolt’s wife; she’s a powerful leader and hero in her own right. I was really impressed by how clever and protective she is – always thinking several steps ahead, both for her husband and against anyone trying to take her down. And let’s talk about that hair! It’s not just a cool visual; it’s a seriously effective weapon, making her a force to be reckoned with in any fight. Honestly, the Avengers could really use someone like Medusa – a smart, capable fighter who can completely surprise their enemies with her skills.

4) Ikaris

The Avengers have reached out to several members of the Eternals, like Sersi, Gilgamesh, and Hyperion. However, Ikaris, their strongest warrior and primary defender of Earth, hasn’t been asked to join. He’s always the first to fight and the last to retreat, dedicated to protecting the planet and fulfilling the mission given to the Eternals by the Celestials. He could be a powerful asset to the Avengers, and joining the team would simply allow him to do what he already does, but on a larger scale. With his abilities, the Avengers would be an even more formidable force.

3) Jean Grey

Jean Grey is arguably the most powerful female member of the X-Men. Even before gaining the immense power of the Phoenix Force, she was an incredibly strong telepath – second only to a few others globally – and possessed telekinetic abilities capable of manipulating matter and moving mountains. Now, as the Phoenix, she’s a cosmic force who can even prevent stars from exploding. A seasoned veteran of the X-Men, she’d be a fantastic asset to the Avengers, whether wielding the Phoenix Force or simply as Jean Grey. She’d quickly become one of the team’s most reliable and impactful members.

2) Human Torch

Johnny Storm became a teen idol when he went to space with his sister Sue and their friends Reed Richards and Ben. During the trip, a cosmic storm gave him the ability to transform into living flame, allowing him to fly and fight with fire. As the Human Torch, he became the fiery and popular face of the Fantastic Four, known for his daring and his unique costume. While the rest of the team has served with the Avengers, Johnny hasn’t – and it’s time that changed. He’s proven himself capable and deserves a spot on Earth’s mightiest team.

1) Cyclops

The X-Men are legendary, and over time, several of their members have joined the Avengers, starting with Beast and later including Wolverine, Storm, Rogue, and others through the Avengers Unity Squad. Despite this crossover, one prominent X-Man surprisingly hasn’t become an Avenger: Cyclops. As the X-Men’s greatest leader, he’s a seasoned hero who consistently guides his team through any challenge. He’s incredibly powerful, a skilled fighter, and a brilliant strategist – a complete asset to any team. It would also be satisfying to see him reconcile with the Avengers after years of conflict.
