ROW is set to premiere in UK theaters on August 29th, and it will be released for home viewing on both DVD and digital platforms starting September 29th.
After winning the Best UK Feature award at the Raindance Film Festival, where it had its world premiere, Kaleidoscope Entertainment is thrilled to share that the oceanic survival-thriller titled “Row” will be screening in movie theaters starting from August 29th.
A young woman named Bella Dayne was discovered on Scotland’s shore, drifting in a boat covered in blood, apparently the lone survivor from a failed trans-Atlantic record-breaking voyage. Since none of her crew members were found alive, she needs to recover her lost memories and clear herself of any suspicion regarding the tragic incident.
Under the guidance of director Matt Losasso, the film titled “Row” features a star-studded cast including Bella Dayne (known for her role in “Humans”), Sophie Skelton (recognized from “Outlander”), Akshay Khanna (“Murderbot”), Nick Skaugen, Tam Dean-Burn and Mark Strepan. After its theatrical debut in August, “Row” will be accessible on DVD and digital platforms starting September 29th.
This year, the film titled “Row” clinched the prestigious Best UK Feature award at the Raindance Film Festival. Additionally, it garnered nominations for exceptional performances (by Bella Dayne), impressive direction (Matthew Losasso), and outstanding cinematography in a UK Feature. The Hollywood News hailed this as a “striking debut feature.” Kim Newman, in his review, highlighted the film’s psychological horror aspect by remarking that the true terrors lie within the mind.
The five-week-long filming was conducted in Caithness, Scotland. Most indoor shots were taken at the House of the Northern Gate, close to John O’Groats. For aquatic scenes, a custom-made water tank and open sea shoots were utilized, along with a sound stage.
