After eleven years, the popular manga Black Clover is nearing its conclusion. The series first appeared in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine and has been running ever since. In 2023, creator Yuki Tabata began the final story arc, and the manga moved to a quarterly release in Jump GIGA magazine. Now, after several exciting climaxes, the story is set to end.
The popular manga series Black Clover is heading towards its conclusion. The author has announced that a major update will be released in Japan on May 1st, which will likely mark the end of the series. As Black Clover prepares for its final chapters this spring, here’s a summary of what fans need to know, though there’s always a chance of a surprise change of plans.
5). Black Clover to End Serialization Climax on May 1st
As a huge fan, I’m getting so excited! Black Clover just announced that the story is heading towards its final arc, which they’re calling the “Serialization Climax,” in the Spring 2026 issue of Jump GIGA on May 1st. This feels different than all those “Super Climax” chapters we got over the past year – those were building to the end of the battle with Lucius Zogratis. Now that Asta and Yuno have already finished that fight, it’s clear this is really it – the final chapters that will bring the whole series to a satisfying conclusion!
4). Black Clover to Release Three New Chapters for Grand Finale

Similar to previous updates for Jump GIGA over the last few years, the final Black Clover update will include three new chapters. These chapters are expected to be substantial and will likely conclude the story. With the main conflict resolved, there are still several loose ends to tie up, and three chapters should provide enough space to do so. While a future update with an epilogue is possible, this Spring’s release feels like the true ending, especially considering it promises additional surprises.
3). Black Clover Finale to Release With Special Extras

To highlight that the end of Black Clover is truly approaching, the Spring 2026 issue of Jump GIGA magazine has revealed some exciting extras for the finale. Along with the story’s climax, the issue will include an interview with the series creator, Yuki Tabata, and Asta’s voice actor, Gakuto Kajiwara. A new cover for the magazine is also planned, making this a special send-off for Black Clover. This feels more definitive than previous hints about the ending, though the ultimate battle between Asta and Yuno still needs to happen.
2). Black Clover Will Crown the Ultimate Wizard King

As a huge fan of Black Clover, I’m so excited about the final arc, the “Ultimate Wizard King arc”! With Julius gone after defeating Lucius, the Clover Kingdom is without a leader, and it all comes down to the big question the series has been building towards: who will become the next Wizard King? Honestly, I’m really hoping it’s either Asta or Yuno – they’ve both worked so hard! It would be amazing to see them have one last epic battle to decide it, but we need a clear answer. Please, let one of them take the throne, not some character we’ve never seen before!
1). Black Clover Isn’t Ending Just Yet

Although the Black Clover manga will conclude with new chapters in May, the franchise is far from over. A new season of the Black Clover anime has been announced, picking up where the first season left off with the exciting Spade Kingdom Raid arc. Because the manga is ending, the anime has plenty of source material to work with, which should avoid the production issues it faced previously. This marks the end of one chapter, but a fresh beginning for the series.
