
Jeremy Piven has built a substantial career across many different types of roles, including popular TV series like ‘Mr Selfridge’ and, most famously, ‘Entourage’. In ‘Entourage’, which aired from 2004 to 2011 and was later followed by a 2015 film, Piven truly shone as Ari Gold, a powerful and often ruthless agent. He was known for intimidating and manipulating everyone around him, often taking it out on his assistant, Lloyd. There have long been discussions about creating a spin-off film centered around the character of Ari Gold.
Entourage centered on Vince Chase, a rising film star, and his group of friends as they experienced the often superficial world of Los Angeles, guided by his energetic agent, Ari Gold.
The HBO series quickly became popular, earning Jeremy Piven four Emmy nominations and three consecutive wins. A 2015 film based on the show did reasonably well, earning $49 million on a $30 million budget. Since the series ended, there’s been ongoing discussion about a movie focusing on Ari Gold, with occasional hints that it might happen.
