Kyle Winchester, who plays Huey Quinn, seemed like the least likely member of the Dingle family to cause trouble at Emmerdale Farm.
It’s clear Kyle takes after his father, Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley), who has a history of trouble with the law. Today’s episode revealed that Cain’s past actions are actually the reason Kyle is seeking revenge.
The family has gone through a lot recently. After their mother, Moira (Natalie J Robb), sold her share of the home and business due to pressure from Joe Tate (Ned Porteous), she lost control of everything. Soon after, Joe put Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) and Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) in charge as the new farmers.
Life is challenging at Wishing Well Cottage. With seven people living in the house, and Cain recovering from prostate surgery while starting a new farm, he’s struggling to find time for his sons.
Kyle was really angry because his dad refused to repair his classic Volkswagen Golf, so he skipped school.

He took shelter in a barn and observed Cain helping Shebz Miah (Kammy Hadiq) with her housing. The Dingles learned she was homeless, and after letting her sleep on their couch for one night, realized she needed more permanent accommodations.
Cain spotted an old caravan at the scrapyard and immediately imagined it as his new home.
Kyle was unexpectedly seen hiding near a doorway, and although he said he’d go back to school, he never did. Frustrated that his car hadn’t been fixed, he drove it to the boundary of the Dingles’ property and set it on fire.
Graham Foster, using his binoculars to search for the person who started the fires, was stunned when he suddenly saw flames erupting into the sky.
He hurried to Kyle’s side and pulled him to safety, immediately understanding he’d caused the incident. Just then, Moira spotted the fire and ran towards it.

Graham quickly helped the teenager into his car to get him out of sight, and told Moira he was going to drive towards the person he’d seen earlier. Moira wasn’t entirely sure Graham wasn’t connected to what happened, but fortunately, Kyle wasn’t spotted.
As Graham drove Kyle along a country road, he shared that the fire reminded him of the tragic car accident that took his wife, Cheryl, and their unborn child. Nearly twenty years ago, he’d crashed his car after drinking, and instead of calling for help, he’d contacted his lover, Kim Tate (Claire King). The car then exploded.
Graham told the young man to be honest, explaining that his reckless behavior couldn’t go on. If Kyle didn’t talk to Cain and Moira himself, Graham would do it instead.
What will Kyle do?
