F1 25 has performed well on the PlayStation 5 Pro, and Codemasters is planning to enhance the graphics even further with an update for the 2026 season.
The downloadable content is coming out this week on June 3rd and will include built-in support for PSSR2, which should improve performance and image quality.
According to Technical Producer Si Lumb on the PlayStation Blog, F1 25 will have a noticeably clearer picture when the 2026 Season Pack is released.
You’ll notice this improvement in all three graphics settings: Quality, Performance, and Resolution.
Just so you know, if you want the best graphics, Quality mode gives you a smooth 60 frames per second with ray tracing. But if you have a monitor that can handle it – like the new 27-inch PlayStation monitor – Performance mode cranks things up to a super-fast 120Hz. It’s all about choosing what’s more important to you: pretty visuals or incredibly smooth gameplay!
Resolution, meanwhile, targets a crisp 8K for anyone who has a compatible display.
PSSR2 improves the clarity of the picture, especially when the game isn’t rendering at its full resolution. Since its release in March, Sony’s upgraded technology has consistently performed as well as the leading AI upscaling methods, so you can anticipate excellent visual quality.
This downloadable content is taking the place of the yearly game release from Codemasters and EA Sports. However, it will still include all the typical updates – like rule changes, updated team lists, and the brand new Madring circuit.
