But, in a brilliant twist, the resistance retaliates by sending back their own Terminator – a reprogrammed model dedicated to protecting John. Arnold Schwarzenegger is fantastic as that protector, and he’s joined by a stellar cast including Linda Hamilton as the determined Sarah Connor, Edward Furlong as young John, and Robert Patrick, who delivers a truly chilling performance as the relentless T-1000. Beyond the incredible action sequences, what really makes T2 stand out is its surprisingly strong and emotionally resonant story.
