
Anna Friel, known for her role in Marcella, will star in a new six-episode thriller called The Heights. The series is adapted from the popular novel of the same title by Louise Candlish.
Joining Friel in the series are Conrad Khan, known for his role in Peaky Blinders, and newcomer Kit Redding. Supporting them will be Diarmuid Noyes as Friel’s ex-husband, Vic, Stephen Tompkinson as Ratcliffe, Mark Stobbart as Justin, and Charis Agbonlahor as Prisca.
The cast also includes Natasha Raphael, known for her role in Malory Towers, as Freya, Yasmine Odofin (Joy) as Jade, and Jolly Abraham (Law and Order: Special Victims Unit) as DI Wilson.
Ellen, a dedicated mother and working professional, enjoys a happy family life in London. However, things start to unravel when her teenage son, Lucas, becomes friends with Kieran, a new boy who is disrespectful, impulsive, and has a negative influence. Kieran begins to lead Lucas down the wrong path, threatening his potential and causing tension within the family.
Ellen fights to save her son, Lucas, as he gets drawn into Kieran’s control. When a terrible tragedy strikes, she’s overwhelmed by sorrow and anger, and becomes determined to uncover what really happened. The series weaves between past and present, revealing long-held family secrets and lies.

Candlish is overseeing the series as an executive producer. Simon Tyrrell, known for ‘Maxine,’ wrote the script, and Dominic Leclerc, who worked on ‘Sex Education,’ is directing and also executive producing. The series is being produced by Clapperboard Studios, and filming is currently happening.
The series is set to air on 5 later this year.
