I’m excited to share that Mortal Kombat II is coming to digital and physical formats soon! To celebrate, I got a sneak peek – and I’m sharing an exclusive clip with you. It’s from a featurette called “Building the Realms of Mortal Kombat,” and it shows how they created the beautiful and tragic realm of Edenia. You can see early concept art and hear the team talk about how they designed it, especially how it changed when Shao Kahn took control. It really gives you a look behind the scenes at the work that went into the movie!
The action-packed sequel, directed by Simon McQuoid, will be available to rent or buy digitally on platforms like Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, and Fandango at Home starting June 9th. If you prefer physical copies, the 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD versions will be released on July 28th.

Director Simon McQuoid returned to direct the sequel to the 2021 Mortal Kombat film. He brought back many of the original actors, including Chin Han, Tadanobu Asano as Lord Raiden, Joe Taslim as Bi-Han, and Hiroyuki Sanada as both Hanzo Hasashi and Scorpion. Joining them were new cast members Karl Urban (as Johnny Cage), Adeline Rudolph (as Kitana), Tati Gabrielle (as Jade), and Martyn Ford (as Sha Kahn), alongside returning stars Jessica McNamee, Josh Lawson, Ludi Lin, Mehcad Brooks, Lewis Tan, Damon Herriman, and Max Huang.
