Coronation Street airs dramatic Jodie Ramsey scenes as she’s publicly exposed in early ITVX release

Jodie Ramsey, played by Olivia Frances Brown, is facing public criticism for her cruel treatment of Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) on Coronation Street.

He’s been targeted by a hateful online campaign for weeks. Someone using the username “Truthteller” has been posting claims that he allowed his former girlfriend, Megan Walsh (played by Beth Nixon), to abuse their child, Will Driscoll (played by Lucas Hodgson-Wale).

It looked like Daniel was finally safe after the original posts were taken down, but a fake account quickly appeared under the name Truthteller2. Soon after, a group of teenagers attacked him in the street, throwing ketchup bottles at him.

When he came back to work this week, after being suspended for arguing with Hope Dobbs (Isabella Flanagan), students started wondering about his connection with Megan. Lily Platt (Grace Ashcroft-Gardner) intentionally bumped into him in the hallway, breaking his new mug that said ‘World’s Best Teacher’.

Falling to the ground, Daniel began to suffer a panic attack.

Today, Truthteller2 posted again. Jodie seemed uneasy, clearly trying to hide that she was the one who originally made the account, likely because she didn’t want him to find out and risk losing their living situation.

She secretly wished he’d be upset and want her to stay, needing someone to lean on. But when she saw how much pain she was causing him, she immediately deactivated her account.

As Daniel continued to read the hateful messages on his computer, he started to suspect something wasn’t right. Then, a harmless comment Jodie made about a private message he’d sent to someone called Truthteller suddenly made him realize the truth – she was the one causing all the trouble, and he was horrified.

He was incredibly angry and confronted her, finally expressing how her actions had caused him sleepless nights, worry, and unhappiness – especially because he’d thought she was a friend.

Even though Jodie strongly denied any link to the Truthteller2 account, Daniel wouldn’t believe her and told her to leave.

After spending time at the Rovers pub to feel better, he publicly blamed her for being the person who had harassed him online and caused him a lot of distress. Jodie, looking upset, quickly left and insisted she hadn’t done it.

Things got even worse when they returned home. Their young son, Bertie, told them he was hungry, but Daniel was so drunk he couldn’t react and quickly fell asleep on the couch.

I was really worried when I saw smoke starting to come from Bertie’s flat! He’d tried to heat up some food in the microwave, but forgot to take the foil off. He panicked and ran outside, but Daniel didn’t even notice anything was wrong. It was a scary situation!

Bertie quickly ran to see Adam (Sam Robertson) and Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) to tell them what was happening. While Tracy prepared a snack for the child, Adam went to Daniel’s flat at the builder’s yard and silenced the fire alarm, noticing Daniel was passed out from drinking.

Will he ever be able to recover?

Coronation Street airs weeknights at 8:30pm on ITV1 or can be streamed from 7am on ITVX.
