Taylor Sheridan’s New Western Season 2 Release Timeline Confirmed by Returning Star

You’ve probably heard a lot about this new show already, but the creator of the popular series Yellowstone has done it again! This time, he’s brought together a fantastic cast including Michelle Pfeiffer, Kurt Russell, Elle Chapman, Beau Garrett (known from Firefly Lane), Matthew Fox (Party of Five, Lost), and Ben Schnetzer (Y: The Last Men), to create what’s shaping up to be another big hit.

After the incredible success of Season 1 – the biggest streaming debut for Taylor Sheridan – you’re probably asking yourself what happens next?

You’re one of millions captivated by The Madison, and there’s exciting news! Not only is Season 2 on the way, but Van Davis actor, Schnetzer, has revealed that Paramount+ has already renewed the show for a third season, thanks to creator Taylor Sheridan.

The Madison Gets Huge Update for Season 2 & 3

“Yes, it was renewed for a third season,” Schnetzer told The Playlist. “Yes, it was.”

. And, again, what about Season 2? When will that hit streaming for all to enjoy??

Schnetzer hasn’t revealed an exact release date for Season 2, possibly to avoid conflict with his friend Sheridan, or because the date isn’t finalized. However, he has confirmed that filming for the season is complete, and it will premiere well before the final three episodes of Season 1, which are scheduled to debut on March 21, 2026.

We filmed the first season in Fall 2024 and just finished the second season in Fall 2025, according to Schnetzer.

Currently, most expect the second season of The Madison to premiere on Paramount+ with six episodes sometime in late 2026, though early 2027 is also a possibility. Fans eagerly awaiting a confirmed release date can rest assured that production is finished, so there won’t be any delays.

What Will Season 2 of The Madison Be About?

Now, let’s talk about Season 2 of The Madison. The show aims to continue the momentum from its first season—without giving away any secrets—and especially to explain a choice the main character made at the end of Season 1, which worried her daughters.

Expect that and plenty more to come in Big Sky Country.

According to Schnetzer, Season 2 will delve much deeper into the characters’ emotional journeys. The season continues to explore the complexities of grief, but also focuses on the healing, renewal, and rebirth that can come with it. Viewers will see more of this positive growth in the upcoming season.

The Madison, as noted, is currently streaming on Paramount+.
