Fans on location in Atlanta have spotted clues about the challenges Superman will face after his appearance in Supergirl. It seems a super-intelligent being from Krypton is heading to Earth, adding another layer of difficulty for the Man of Steel.
Recent photos show David Corenswet back in the Superman costume, and on-set footage suggests a fight scene is brewing in Metropolis. While it doesn’t appear to be Superman taking the beating, whoever is involved fights back with incredible force, sending multiple stunt performers flying. Man of Tomorrow’s Mysterious Tale
What can fans expect from Man of Tomorrow? This time around, Clark Kent and Lex Luthor are joining forces to battle Brainiac, a classic DC Comics villain making his live-action debut. To promote the upcoming sequel, it’s been revealed that Lex Luthor will finally be wearing his iconic purple and green battle armor – a look fans have been waiting to see. Given Brainiac’s power in the comics, it makes sense that Lex would be getting a significant upgrade for this fight.
Fans won’t have to wait long to see David Corenswet as Superman again! He’s already set to appear in the upcoming Supergirl movie. While it’s still unclear how much he’ll be in the film, actress Milly Alcock has been confirmed to be part of the Man of Tomorrow project. Interestingly, Supergirl has a well-known rivalry with the villain Brainiac in the comics, stemming from their shared Kryptonian connection.
After the first film in James Gunn’s new DC universe, Man of Tomorrow, fans are wondering what’s next for Superman after 2027. While Gunn has several other projects planned for his “Gods And Monsters” phase, none currently center on the iconic hero. Following the release of Supergirl this summer, a horror movie focusing on Batman villain Clayface is in the works—a significant shift in tone from the colorful Superman film that launched the series in 2025.
