This month, Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump will launch several new manga series, including a comeback from a popular creator who hasn’t had a full series in six years. Following the cancellation of Akira Inui’s Alien Headbutt, Shonen Jump is making room for fresh content, hoping one of these new series will become the next big hit with readers.
Shonen Jump is launching three new manga series in June, and the first one arrives next week following the end of Alien Headbutt. This new series, called Animal Signal, is created by a team familiar with Shonen Jump. The artwork is by Taishi Tsutsui, who previously created We Never Learn: BOKUBEN, which finished in 2020, so fans can expect a visually striking style.
We Never Learn Creator Returns to Shonen Jump With Animal Signal

A new manga series called Animal Signal will launch in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump on June 8th. Taishi Tsutsui, the artist behind We Never Learn: BOKUBEN, is providing the artwork. This marks a new project for Tsutsui six years after BOKUBEN ended, and a year after his previous series, Syd Craft: Love Is a Mystery, was cancelled. The story is being written by Robinson Haruhara, creator of Tis Time for “Torture,” Princess, bringing the two creators together for this new collaboration.
Details about the new series are still limited, but it seems the story will center around characters who work at an agency that can communicate with animals. It’s definitely a promising new title from Shonen Jump. The creator’s previous series struggled after its first year, even a collaboration with We Never Learn couldn’t boost its popularity, so fans are hoping for a more successful launch this time.
What’s Next for Shonen Jump?

Shonen Jump is launching three new series throughout June. First up is HAL FORUMLA by Terasaka Kento, who previously worked on Green Green Greens. Following that will be Canon Master by Reiya Machida. To make space for these new titles, two currently running series will be concluding soon.
Several popular, long-running series in Shonen Jump are nearing their conclusions. Ultimate Exorcist Kiyoshi could wrap up in just a couple of weeks after recently finishing a major storyline, while Blue Box is already in its final arc. Hima-Ten! is building towards a crucial confession, Sakamoto Days is focused on final battles, and Witch Watch is consistently delivering intense, climactic fights. With so many series potentially ending soon, fans will want to stay tuned!
