Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve is coming soon, and a thrilling new trailer just dropped! Fans have even more to look forward to with this latest installment.
You can now pre-order the new fighter jet action game on the PlayStation Store, and if you pre-order, you’ll also get a free digital copy of the classic PS2 game, Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War.
I’ve been looking into this new version of the game, and I can share a few things I’ve found out!
- It will not be made available for separate purchase
- It’s a remastered, emulated port of the PS2 title, developed in-house for all platforms
- Unlike many retro titles, it isn’t using any of Sony’s emulation solutions, and was not outsourced to Implicit Conversions
Getting a whole extra game as a pre-order bonus is a really great deal, especially when it’s a popular title.
Pre-orders will also earn you the F-14A for use in AC8.
A Deluxe Edition is also offered, giving players three days of early access and bonus digital content. This includes a voucher for the Premium Ace Pass Plus and a set of cosmetic items you can use in both the campaign and Ace Combat Online.

In Ace Combat Online, you design a unique pilot avatar that you’ll use when playing with others, whether you’re teaming up or competing.
It also has a season pass called the Ace Pass, with free and premium options available.
