I’m so excited for the new season of Celebrity Gogglebox! Channel 4 just announced a fresh group of celebrities who will be joining the show this week, and it’s a big deal – they’re hitting their 50th episode! I can’t wait to see what they think of the week’s TV.
Celebrity Gogglebox is back for its eighth season! The show features a rotating group of celebrities relaxing and reacting to the week’s most popular TV shows, offering funny and sometimes surprisingly thoughtful commentary.
Starting on Friday, June 5th, Gogglebox is welcoming some new personalities! Joining the show are well-known British stars Julian Clary and Nigel Havers, plus former Strictly Come Dancing contestants George Clarke and Harry Aikines-Aryeetey, who many know as Nitro from Gladiators.
Clarke will be joined on stage by his podcast co-host, Max Balegde. Meanwhile, Matt Morsia, known as ‘Legend’ from the show Gladiators, will be with Aikines-Aryeetey.
TV star Olivia Attwood and her mother, Jennifer, will be joining the show to share their reactions to the biggest moments and stars on television.

Before the new episodes aired, Clary – who previously competed on Strictly – shared that being on Celebrity Gogglebox was a really enjoyable and relaxed way to spend an evening.
I believe my commentary added a touch of class to the event, and thankfully Nigel didn’t fall asleep. Though, I did notice a rather unfortunate stain on my sofa.
Former Coronation Street star Havers said he’s thrilled to be working with Julian on Gogglebox, calling it a dream come true and the perfect way to spend an evening. (Julian wrote this note.)

Clarke shared that they really enjoyed the experience, mostly because it gave them a chance to playfully tease Max on television. They explained that Max’s overreactions make everything entertaining, and the show is incredibly easy to participate in – you simply say what comes to mind, and the conversation naturally spirals into unexpected directions.
Aikines-Aryeetey said filming Celebrity Gogglebox was a genuinely fun experience from beginning to end. It felt like a relaxed night in with lots of laughter, great television, and surprising moments. She really enjoyed being a part of the show.

As the show continues, we’ll be announcing even more celebrity guests, along with some familiar faces from previous seasons.
The show features several pairings, including Vernon Kay with Paddy McGuinness, Bez and Shaun Ryder, Roman and Martin Kemp, Ashley Banjo and Perri Kiely, Nick Grimshaw with his niece Liv, the Mangans, Rylan and his mum Linda, Mo Gilligan and Babatunde Aléshé, Denise Van Outen and Johnny Vaughan, and Vicky Pattison with Pete Wicks.
Celebrity Gogglebox returns on Friday 5 June at 9pm on Channel 4.
