Hot Wheels: Infinite Rush Is Official, an Open World Racer on PS5 This September

Update [Fri 5th Jun 2026, 10:16pm]:

It’s official! Hot Wheels: Infinite Rush is a brand new, fast-paced racing game created by Milestone, the studio known for Hot Wheels Unleashed.

Here’s the official announcement trailer:

This installment features a vast open world spread across four distinct islands. Players can collect over 150 vehicles, categorized into four different classes, and now, the track editor is integrated directly into the open world environment.

It looks pretty good, and it’s launching very soon on 24th September, 2026.

A new Hot Wheels video game is in development, according to billbil-kun, a well-known and trustworthy source for video game leaks.

Okay, so I’m hearing we’re about to get a new Hot Wheels game! It’s supposedly called Hot Wheels Infinite Rush, and it’s coming from Milestone – those are the guys who made Hot Wheels Unleashed, which was actually a really fun surprise. They’re likely going to announce it during Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest really soon!

The game is expected to release on PlayStation 5 and other consoles on September 24th, 2026 – a particularly busy week for new releases. It’s also rumored to be priced at $49.99.

The game’s details are still unclear, but it seems likely to be a fast-paced racing game with popular toy cars and trucks.

A trailer was apparently also leaked earlier today, but has since been removed.

Insider Gaming, after viewing the trailer, reports that Hot Wheels Infinite Rush features “a new open world,” suggesting players will be able to freely explore the game environment.

The Unleashed games were great arcade racers, and knowing Milestone is working on this new one gives me a lot of hope it will be good too.

We expect to see the game revealed at SGF, but it could also be announced at other events. Most likely, we’ll find out within the next few days.
