Mariah Carey Shares Rare Insight Into Co-Parenting With Nick Cannon

Although Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon’s romantic relationship has ended, they continue to maintain a bond through their shared children.

Despite the ups and downs in their personal relationship since their 2016 divorce, Mariah and Nick have managed to harmonize well when it comes to raising their 14-year-old twins, affectionately known as “Roc” and “Roe,” whom they call Moroccan and Monroe respectively.

Mariah pondered during her Harper’s Bazaar interview on July 29 about the best way to phrase this: ‘People enjoy their time with him, and it’s fun. Similarly, people appreciate their time with me, and it’s enjoyable too.’

The 56-year-old went on to say, ‘I strive for fairness in all situations since it’s challenging to mature with separated parents.’

At that instance, Mariah, who stirred up speculations about her relationship with Anderson .Paak in December, spoke about her situation with Nick, a man who is father to a total of 12 kids.

Meanwhile the Drumline alum, for his part, has often spoken to his history with the Grammy winner.

Apart from confessing this to TopMob News in August, Nick had stated unequivocally that he would reconnect with Mariah, expressing “We are meant for each other.” Previously, Nick has shed light on his mental state during their eight-year marriage.

In his interview with Ray Daniels during October on the podcast, Nick shared, ‘I tied the knot in my twenties with the most famous star globally.’ He often pondered at night, ‘Am I truly myself? Am I this woman’s partner? Is this what my life is meant to be?’

The 44-year-old went on to say, “It’s perfectly fine and I feel very cozy with it. With this, I’m sleeping till midday and having steaks brought to me.

Nick elaborated, revealing that accepting Roc and Roe into the story not only made him feel like the leading character, but also offered him a fresh outlook on things.

Later, when one has kids, the pecking order often feels like this: ‘Ah, but I’m the one carrying the purse, the diaper bag, and I’m the one waiting on a corner,’ he explained. “She, in her strong and dominant way, embodies all the alpha qualities she possesses.

Though he respects Mariah for who she is, he started questioning if his own achievements – such as being the chairman at Nickelodeon and Island Def Jam – might be attributed to her connections. Furthermore, he mentioned that his Lupus diagnosis sparked a change in him, leading him to think, “I have so much left to accomplish.

He then quipped, “That’s probably why I have 12 kids now.”

The model posted an Instagram video where the actor from ‘Wild ‘n Out’ assisted in the delivery of their baby. “Our lives have been transformed,” she penned. “Zen permeates every breath I draw. I sense his presence was with us that morning. I believe he is looking down on us. He communicates daily signs to me. I will cherish this memory for eternity.

She went on to say, “I’ll never forget the sound of Nick’s voice saying ‘it’s a girl,’ and the emotions of our journey reflected in his eyes. I’ll always remember the cry of her first breath and the sensation of her heartbeat against mine. My darling Halo Marie Cannon, you were my pleasant surprise! We adore you!
