The new comic, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #1, starts with a huge attack that reunites the original Power Rangers. It’s been ten years, and a lot has changed for the team. One major change is the introduction of Trini’s child, Minh, who first appeared in the Once & Always 30th Anniversary Special. However, in that special, Minh was portrayed as an adult, while the comic introduces them as a child.

The Origin Story of Minh In Mighty Morphin Power Rangers

When we first see Minh, she’s a baby, and Trini is learning to balance motherhood with her duties as a Power Ranger. It’s challenging, but she’s handling it remarkably well, and this will be important for her character development in the upcoming comics.

We actually met Minh before, in the special Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always, which celebrated the show’s 30th anniversary. The special starts with a fight against Robo Rita, where Trini sadly dies. It’s then revealed that Trini had a daughter named Minh, and after Trini’s death, Zack and Billy stepped in to help raise her.

When Robo Rita reappears, the Rangers reunite with some of their original teammates to fight her. They try to keep Minh safe from the battle, but she disobeys and uses her mother’s old morpher to find them. Although her plan doesn’t go smoothly, Minh ultimately connects with the Morphin Grid and becomes the new Yellow Ranger.

The comics will finally show Trini as a mother to baby Minh, which opens up exciting new storytelling possibilities within the Power Rangers universe.
