Conner titled his July 28 Instagram post as “It’s been genuine,” expressing that it had been an incredible journey. He was grateful to have been part of Genoa City, sharing the screen with numerous skilled and dedicated actors, creators, and crew members. Without a doubt, he considered this place unique.

He went on to express his gratitude for being welcomed, stating that Chance would forever hold a special spot in his heart. He shared that he had learned much from this person and would deeply miss them. It was truly a privilege to embody the Chancellor’s legacy.

In an interview on July 28 with TV Insider, he expressed that, regrettably, this seems to be the manner Chance would have chosen for his departure. It aligns with the tale he frequently shared – one of heroism – and such selflessness was characteristic of him. Additionally, the fact that I died in Billy Flynn’s arms adds a touch of poetry to it as well.

However, parting ways with the cast and crew after almost five years wasn’t any less difficult because of it.
