Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt’s Son Marks Graduation With Muay Thai Fight

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt‘s son enjoyed a knockout of a day.

Knox recently graduated high school on June 5th and celebrated in a unique way – by participating in a Muy Thai fight.

During his graduation ceremony, the 17-year-old announced to the audience that he would be fighting at Total Sonic Knockout 5 at 12:45 a.m., promising a knockout victory. A clip of the announcement was shared on social media.

The teenager, wearing a purple graduation gown, cap, and lei, received applause and cheers from the audience, including his mother and twin sister Vivienne.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, who completed their divorce in December 2024, have six children: Maddox, 24; Pax, 22; Zahara, 21; Shiloh, 20; and twins.

Total Sonic Knockout is a unique event that blends a rave with live fighting. The Los Angeles show on June 5th will include fights from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m., according to the event’s YouTube page.

Photos from the event, published by People magazine, show Knox – who recently dyed his hair orange-blonde – boxing his opponent. He wore black shorts and gloves for the match.

Knox isn’t new to fighting. Back in July 2025, at age 16, he won an IKF Point Muay Thai Technical competition, according to TMZ. Photos show him proudly displaying his medal after the win.

As Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s children have gotten older, some have explored creative hobbies – Shiloh appeared in a music video by K-pop artist Dayoung, and Maddox helped direct his mother’s film, Couture. However, it’s doubtful any of their six children will choose to act in front of the camera themselves.

As Angelina mentioned during a discussion at the 2025 Santa Barbara International Film Festival, her children aren’t interested in the attention that comes with being celebrities, and Shiloh especially dislikes it.

Overall, the Maleficent actress wants her kids to do whatever it is they want to do.

As a parent, I often worry I’m not doing enough or making the right choices for my kids. But ultimately, I hope I’m giving them the freedom to discover who they are and find something meaningful and genuine to dedicate their lives to.

For more insight into Brad and Angelina’s family tree, read on.

Angelina Jolie first fell in love with Cambodia while filming the movie Tomb Raider in 2001. Later, she traveled to the town of Battambang, hoping to adopt a child from a local orphanage.

She later told Vanity Fair that she didn’t feel an immediate connection with her other children. But when she saw Maddox—born August 5, 2001—lying in a box hanging from the ceiling, everything changed. She felt an instant connection and said she ‘cried and cried’.

She adopted her oldest son as a single parent, but after she started dating Brad Pitt, he began the process to adopt him too.

Maddox Jolie-Pitt became an executive producer on his mother Angelina Jolie’s 2017 film, First They Killed My Father, because of his interest in her work. The film is based on a book by Loung Ung, Jolie’s friend, detailing the Cambodian genocide under the Khmer Rouge. Maddox explained to People magazine that he wanted to contribute to the project in any way he could. He also described his mother as “fun, funny, and easy to work with,” adding, “She’s a wonder.”

Maddox studied biochemistry at Yonsei University in South Korea – a decision his mother greatly approved of. In April 2023, he was invited to a state dinner at the White House hosted by President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden for South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol and First Lady Kim Keon Hee.

Angelina Jolie described Pax’s early childhood as very restrictive. Born on November 29, 2003, he spent the first three and a half years of his life in an orphanage near Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, sharing a small iron bed with around 20 other children and having no control over his own life.

Maddox is adjusting well to life with his new siblings, Zahara and Shiloh, and his parents. Angelina explained that he’s quickly learning English and embracing his newfound freedom, which makes him energetic and a little mischievous. She describes him as a remarkably resilient and loving child.

Pax was involved in creative projects from a young age, fueled by a family interest in filmmaking. He voiced a character in Angelina Jolie’s Kung Fu Panda 3 in 2016 and worked as a set photographer on First They Killed My Father. In 2018, he accompanied his mother to the Golden Globes.

He assisted with the design of Atelier Jolie, a fashion and tailoring space Angelina Jolie launched in New York City, and also worked as an assistant director on the set of her Italian film, Without Blood.

Angelina explained to People that working with her sons, Pax and Maddox, felt natural because a good film set often feels like a family.

When Angelina visited an orphanage in Hawassa, Ethiopia, she brought her then-3-year-old son, Maddox, and introduced him to her older daughter, Zahara, who was born on January 8, 2005. Angelina later told Anderson Cooper that Maddox quickly bonded with Zahara. Because Zahara was already seven months old when she came home, Maddox saw her a bit like a little sibling he could cuddle and observe.

Zahara, like her brothers and sisters, is fascinated by her mother’s work. She’s been involved in many aspects of it, from attending red carpet events to launching her own jewelry line, the Zahara Collection, with jeweler Robert Procop in 2019. She’s also joined her mother on trips to support Syrian refugees through the UNHCR.

In August 2022, Angelina became tearful as she dropped her daughter, Zahara, off at Spelman College. She shared a video on Instagram saying she was trying not to cry. She later returned to Spelman for its homecoming celebration.

Zahara became a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority at her school in 2023. She has also traveled with the actress to Washington, D.C. several times, including when the actress gave an emotional speech in February 2022 urging the renewal of the Violence Against Women Act, and again a year later when they lobbied lawmakers to support the Justice for All Reauthorization Act of 2022.

As a lifestyle expert, I remember being so charmed when Angelina and Brad welcomed their daughter, Shiloh, back in 2006! It was a really special moment, with Shiloh being born at a hospital in Namibia. Angelina described her as this little bundle of joy, full of light, love, and a wonderfully funny personality. She even joked that Shiloh reminded her of herself – a playful spirit who’d definitely keep them on their toes! It was clear from the start she was going to be a little firecracker.

Shiloh first stepped onto the red carpet at the premiere of Unbroken in 2014. Since then, she’s accompanied her mother to events for films like Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, The Breadwinner, and Dumbo. She also attended the 2018 National Board of Review Awards Gala and the 2021 premiere of Eternals, where she famously wore a Dior gown of her mother’s.

Angelina Jolie loves seeing her kids wear her clothes! She told TopMob’s Daily Pop that she always encourages them to borrow from her closet, saying, ‘Wear it, and wear it better than me!’ She happily lets them have anything they want, embracing her role as the mom who lets her kids have free rein with her wardrobe.

Shiloh not only admires Angelina’s charity work, but also appears to be exploring a career in entertainment, having recently spent time training at the Millennium Dance Complex in Los Angeles.

In 2024, on her eighteenth birthday, she filed a legal request with a Los Angeles court to drop the “Pitt” from her last name and legally become known as Shiloh Nouvel Jolie. The name change was finalized a few months later.

Angelina first showed off her baby bump at the 2008 Independent Spirit Awards. Soon after, on July 12, 2008, she welcomed twins, Knox and Vivienne, in Nice, France. The family settled into their home, Château Miraval, and Angelina told People magazine that despite the “chaos,” they were enjoying parenthood. She shared that Shiloh and Zahara loved helping with the twins, picking out their outfits and assisting with care.

Oh my gosh, you will NOT believe this! Brad’s character, Knox, is actually named after his grandfather, Hal Knox Hillhouse! And Angelina – she gets it, you know? She said Knox is SO much like Brad, both how he looks and how he feels inside. I totally saw it when they were at the British motorcycle Grand Prix in 2015 – they could have been twins! It was just… uncanny. They really do share something special, it’s like looking at Brad in another form!

Following in the footsteps of her older children, Pax, Zahara, and Shiloh, Knox had a small voice acting role in the 2016 film Kung Fu Panda 3, playing the character Ku Ku. According to Angelina Jolie, the kids were hesitant at first. “They aren’t eager to be actors,” she explained to ET, “but I wanted them to experience this opportunity, and they ended up really enjoying it.”

Angelina described her twin brother, Knox, as being similar to their late mother, Marcheline Bertrand. She told TopMob News that Knox isn’t interested in being the center of attention, but instead prefers to support other artists. She added that he’s a thoughtful and dedicated person who takes theatre seriously and always strives to contribute his best work.

Despite a strong performance as a young Elle Fanning’s Aurora in the 2014 film Maleficent – Angelina Jolie was impressed with her precision on set – the actress has since focused on work that happens behind the camera.

Angelina shared that her daughter, Vivienne, inspired her to work on bringing the movie The Outsiders to Broadway. Vivienne then volunteered to help her mom, who was the producer of the Tony-winning show.

Angelina shared with People that her daughter, Vivienne – listed in the playbill as Vivienne Jolie – often keeps her in line. “She’ll tell me, ‘Didn’t you read the memo? We need to do this, we have to follow the plan!'” Jolie explained. “She’s a surprisingly strict assistant and takes her job very seriously.”
