Adrien Brody couldn’t have asked for a grander romance.
While making his first appearance on Broadway in The Fear of 13, the actor talked about how he and his partner, Georgina Chapman, have kept their relationship strong even with their hectic lives.
Brody shared with TopMob News at the 2026 Tony Awards that she’s a very giving person. He explained it’s become typical for them to be understanding of each other’s busy schedules, and she consistently shows kindness and thoughtfulness.
In fact, he has the perfect way to describe her: “My partner in crime.”
What qualities make this fashion designer – who was first connected to the Oscar-winning actor in 2019 – a great partner for him?
The speaker, age 53, said at the annual New York City event that it’s important to find someone who possesses the right qualities – someone kind, understanding, and accepting of you, your work, and your dedication to your career.
As he put it, “It takes a certain type.”
Jennifer Chapman had previously ended her nine-year marriage to Harvey Weinstein, a convicted sex offender, in 2017. Now, she’s clearly shown her support for Brody’s work.
The 50-year-old looked happy and cheerful on the red carpet at Radio City Music Hall while at the awards show with Brody.
The actor from The Grand Budapest Hotel appreciated Chapman’s encouragement while playing Nick Yarris, a man wrongly convicted and sentenced to death for over 20 years. He performed the role for 16 weeks, concluding on July 12th.
He explained on the Broadway Show with Tamsen Fadal in April that this project was a big change from his usual work. While making movies can be challenging, he noted that filmmakers have plenty of resources to help overcome difficulties.
He explained that the rewarding and challenging aspects of theater come from needing to be fully engaged – physically, emotionally, and mentally. An actor must constantly be aware of the timing, humor, emotional layers, and connections with other characters, as well as the play’s overall rhythm. This responsibility of staying present and making those adjustments night after night is what it means to truly embody a character.
