This recent addition deviates by exploring a more clearly science fiction theme, as executive producer Zak Penn refers to it as a series that Leonard (Johnny Galecki), Sheldon (Jim Parsons), and their fellow tech enthusiasts would find intriguing and engaging.
However, is it plausible that this particular group might make an appearance in some form? It’s worth noting that the summary for Stuart’s spin-off suggests that the unlucky comic book store owner could potentially trigger “multiverse catastrophe” due to his mishandling of a device invented by Leonard and Sheldon.
Additionally, it hinted that during Stuart’s endeavor to reestablish reality, he might cross paths with alternate universe variations of beloved characters from The Big Bang Theory.
If you’re eager to catch up with the original characters from The Big Bang Theory once more, even if they might appear differently because of the antics in the multiverse, then you’ll definitely enjoy this series.
It’s not exactly a guarantee, but it appears that Lorre might be subtly suggesting the presence of actors from the popular sitcom, perhaps even depicting new interpretations of their characters.
Besides the previously mentioned Galecki and Parsons, The Big Bang Theory also catapulted Kaley Cuoco (Penny), Kunal Nayyar (Raj), Simon Helberg (Howard), Melissa Rauch (Bernadette), and Mayim Bialik (Amy) to stardom.
To date, the only verified characters in Stuart Fails to Save the Universe, originally portrayed by recurring actors, are Kevin Sussman as Stuart, Lauren Lapkus as Denise, Brian Posehn as Bert, and John Ross Bowie as Kripke. They all appeared frequently in the original series.
