Stupid Never Dies launches this fall

Action RPG Stupid Never Dies will launch for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam this fall, developer GPTACK50 announced. It will support English voice-overs, with English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Polish, Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese subtitle language options.

Set in a monster-ruled otherworldly dungeon, Stupid Never Dies puts you in control of Davy, a timid zombie living at the very bottom of monster society. Defeat enemies, level up, and collect strange items to grow stronger on your quest to bring Julia, a frozen human girl, back to life.

Take abilities from your enemies, build a uniquely customized undead body with strange and powerful upgrades, and enjoy exciting, fast-paced combat with fresh, new mechanics.

Developed by GPTRACK50, a new studio formed by veteran action game developers, Stupid Never Dies delivers a single-player 3D action RPG experience unlike anything you’ve played before.

Davy and Julia

Davy—the timid zombie protagonist, and Julia—the frozen woman he falls in love with at first sight.

Dr. Frank

A self-proclaimed “supreme intellect of humanity.”

Visit Frank’s Database within “Jupiter Target” to see the styles you’ve unlocked, enemies you’ve beaten, and areas you’ve discovered. You can also collect rewards like Enemy Statues, Pins, Badges, and Stickers based on your progress and how many cores you’ve absorbed.

Bessie

She’s a rough and tumble zombie biker who doesn’t take nonsense from anyone – whether it’s the cops or the mob – and fiercely protects her ride. Her mission is to rescue Davy from a dungeon, and she’s doing it on her motorcycle.

“Bessie Burger” is a burger joint where you can unlock Zombie Skills and boost rarity levels. This will give you new options for the Zombie Skills that you gain when reaching certain levels inside the dungeon.

Goyle

This stone monster is a statue that can’t move independently. However, he has the ability to see and hear things beyond normal perception, and uses this to gather information about the dungeon, which he then shares with Davy.

Check in with Goyle in the Security Room to view your dungeon dive stats, find out what materials you need for Bessie Burger orders, and see your rewards from Frank’s Database.

Acelino

A Chihuahua man, not a werewolf.

With a sharp mind, he serves as the doctor’s right-hand assistant. He’s also a playboy. Is responsible for Davy’s Body Hack.

Go to “Ink on the Brain,” the tattoo shop where Acelino hangs out, whenever you need to develop and manage your OT (Overtech) Gear, or embed it into Davy.

■ Boss Battles Revealed

In order to delve deeper into the dungeon, Davy will need to defeat increasingly challenging bosses:

Afleet

Afreets proved their devotion to KOM, the King of Monsters, by enduring an unimaginable trial – drinking the flames of hell. This act imbued them with an endless, internal fire, making them fearless and earning them elite status. As a result, they have access to advanced technology, including a gravity control system that not only crushes opponents but also serves as a unique training tool.

Wyvern

Okay, so in the world I’m playing in, the KOM army has these wyverns – basically dragons, but smaller. They’re supposed to scout ahead, but honestly, they get distracted and just divebomb everything, which is kinda hilarious. Everyone jokes about whether they’re empty-headed, which probably helps them fly! Still, you gotta admit, they’re fierce, and people really respect them – you see their designs everywhere, on banners and stuff. They were hesitant about all this new ‘Overtech’ stuff at first – didn’t want to be seen as trying too hard, you know? But progress marches on, and even the wyverns are getting with the times.

Bob Dullahan

He was a lifelong nomad and one of the few who resisted when KOM took control. Ultimately, he was killed, his body and the unique energy source within consumed. He’s known for passionately singing about freedom, and he doesn’t bother tailoring his performances to his audience – he sings what he wants. Anyone who disagrees with him is immediately labeled a traitor, so most people have learned to simply endure his performances in silence.

Phoenix Zaza Hotfeathers

His job is to handle Earth’s waste – basically, the leftovers from its natural processes. He has a completely carefree attitude, likely because personal problems seem insignificant compared to the scale of the planet. Or, he might just not be very bright.
