Shiverly is a quiet village in Yorkshire, England, set around the year 2000. It’s a place of beautiful countryside, welcoming people, and hidden mysteries.
In The Detectorist Guild, you play as James, exploring a town and its beautiful countryside with his metal detector. He searches for lost items – artefacts that hold clues to the area’s history. The townspeople frequently lose things, and it’s James’ job to find them, return them, and win the villagers’ trust.
However, a deeper, more unsettling story lies hidden beneath the village’s charming exterior. As James investigates the town’s past, a troubling mystery unfolds, pulling him and his family into events that link the old days to the present.
Share any historical items you find with the local museum and discover where they came from. You can sell antiques from the 1900s at the Emporium and use the money to improve your equipment, helping you find even more amazing treasures. Keep an eye out – valuable discoveries could be hidden anywhere, from fields to old paths and forgotten places!
