Every Year After cast: Who stars in the Prime Video series?

Following the popularity of adaptations like The Summer I Turned Pretty and Off Campus, Prime Video is continuing to find success with young adult book series, and now includes Every Year After in that lineup.

Although it might seem like ‘The Summer I Turned Pretty,’ ‘Every Year After’ actually focuses on the lasting pain of a first love.

Percy, played by Sadie Soverall, returns to her summer vacation spot, but things are different this time. She reconnects with old friends, including Sam, played by Matt Cornett.

As the story jumps between the present day and flashbacks spanning six years of the characters’ youth, “Every Year After” truly delivers on its promise of being a touching and wistful tale of first loves and the lasting impact of the people and decisions that shape our lives.

Sadie Soverall as Percy

Percy is an obituary writer feeling stuck and unhappy with her life. Everything changes when she receives a troubling call from Charlie. This forces her to return to her hometown, Barry’s Bay, where she must face old secrets, unresolved conflicts, and reconnect with Sam, her first love.

You might recognize Sadie Soverall from shows like Fate: The Winx Saga and Saltburn, or from movies like The Gathering, Finding Emily, and Arcadian. She’s an English actress who’s been building a strong film and television career.

Matt Cornett as Sam

Sam is now a doctor and is in a relationship, but his life is turned upside down by difficult family news. Things get even more complicated when Percy unexpectedly returns.

You probably recognize Matt Cornett from his work on High School Musical: The Musical: The Series. He’s also appeared in shows like Life in Pieces, Game Shakers, and The Goldbergs.

Aurora Perrineau as Chantal

Chantal is Percy’s closest friend. Despite being busy with wedding planning and a demanding job as a lawyer, she makes the trip to Barry’s Bay to be there for him.

You might recognize Aurora Perrineau from her roles in shows like Westworld, When They See Us, and Prodigal Son. She most recently appeared in Kaos.

Abigail Cowen as Delilah

I’ve been hearing a lot about Delilah lately, and it’s fascinating! She currently lives in Barry’s Bay, but apparently she and Charlie, Percy, and Sam were really close when they were younger – they used to spend every summer together. Even though she’s married now, it sounds like she still has feelings for Charlie after all these years!

You might recognize Abigail Cowen from her roles in shows like Fate: The Winx Saga, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, and The Ritual.

Michael Bradway as Charlie

Charlie is Sam’s older brother. He often comes across as the more confident and popular sibling, but he’s also dealing with personal struggles and difficult realities.

Joseph Chiu as Jordie
