The action genre is full of great films – think of movies like The Raid and John Wick – but Lionsgate’s The Furious is quickly becoming a standout. It’s set to be one of the most thrilling action movies of the year, and we’re excited to share an exclusive first look at a special limited-edition poster that captures the film’s intense energy.

What Is The Furious?
I’m really excited about The Furious! It’s directed by Kenji Tanigaki, who’s known for incredible fight scenes in movies like Flash Point and Legend of the Fist. Plus, Kensuke Sonomura, the action director from films like Song of the Samurai, is also working on this one. It actually premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival last year, but I’m so glad it’s finally getting a wide release here now!
In The Furious, Wang Wei embarks on a desperate search for his kidnapped daughter. When the police prove unhelpful due to corruption, he decides to take justice into his own hands. The result is a thrilling and intensely violent display of martial arts, full of creative and shocking action.
Wei isn’t the only one on this dangerous path. He’s joined by Navin, a journalist whose wife has also vanished under mysterious circumstances. Both men find themselves heading in the same direction, determined to rescue their loved ones and bring down those responsible, no matter the cost.
Wow, I’m already getting seriously excited about The Furious. It’s currently sitting at 100% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes with 34 reviews – that’s a huge accomplishment before the film even hits theaters! If it stays that high, we could be looking at a new action classic, and thankfully, the wait to see if that happens isn’t going to be very long. I’m already planning my trip to the cinema!
