Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Gets Disappointing Streaming Update

It’s been nearly a year since the first film in the Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle trilogy came out, and fans are still waiting for news about the next two movies. The first film was a huge success – the most successful anime film ever, in fact – so the pressure is on for the sequels. While updates on the second part are taking longer than expected, the anime remains popular, boosted by a special Screen X release earlier this year. The Blu-ray was released in Japan last month, but it isn’t available elsewhere yet. Despite the film being out for months, there’s still no word on when it will be available to stream.

An announcement about the anime’s wider release is expected soon. The Blu-ray and DVD will be available in Japan on July 29, 2026, and with the theatrical run finished in April, a streaming release internationally is likely to follow. However, fans outside of Japan will have to wait a bit longer for the home video. In the meantime, an exhibition showcasing the Blu-ray and DVD will be held in Tokushima Prefecture on May 16th and 17th, from 10 AM to 5 PM each day. At the exhibition, attendees can see package samples and pre-order the Blu-ray, with exclusive bonuses and limited editions available at each store, plus recommendations from staff.

Demon Slayer Will Continue The Battle Against The Upper Moons in Infinity Castle Part 2

I’ve been following the Demon Slayers, and their ultimate goal, Muzan Kibutsuji, has gone into hiding. He’s barricaded himself inside this incredibly complex place called Infinity Castle, making him almost impossible to find. To make things even harder, every demon in Japan is now an obstacle, especially the Upper Moons. Even after taking down two of them, three still remain, and the top two are incredibly powerful. Honestly, they’re on a whole other level – far beyond what even the Hashira could manage, let alone regular Demon Slayers.

Despite not yet fighting, Kokushibo watched as Doma battled Kanao after defeating Shinobu Kocho. The Demon Slayers’ current biggest threat is Nakime, the new Upper Rank Four, because her unique power created the confusing Infinity Castle. She can see and control everything inside the castle, effectively trapping our heroes. They won’t be able to escape Muzan’s fortress until Nakime is defeated.

Despite winning their battles against the Upper Rank Demons, the Demon Slayers still have a final, daunting challenge ahead: defeating Muzan Kibutsuji and ending his centuries-long reign of terror. Although there aren’t any major new anime projects currently planned, Japanese TV channels like Fuji TV will be re-airing the entire series—excluding the most recent movie—beginning in April 2026.
