Jujutsu Kaisen’s Culling Game Gets a New Look Ahead of Season 4

Fans of Jujutsu Kaisen can expect big news about Season 4 this month, coinciding with MAPPA’s 15th anniversary celebration. Season 3 covered the events following the Shibuya Incident and led into the challenging Culling Game arc. Because the Culling Game is the series’ longest story arc, it will be split into two seasons of the anime. The last season ended with a cliffhanger, leaving viewers with many unanswered questions. Season 4 is anticipated to finish the Culling Game, paving the way for the ultimate showdown against Ryomen Sukuna. Despite Season 3 just concluding three months ago, MAPPA is moving quickly to release updates and complete the Culling Game arc, meaning fans won’t have to wait long for more.

The animation studio is holding a big event on June 19th, 2026, to share news about its current and future projects. We know that updates on Jujutsu Kaisen Season 4 will be included – likely a new image or an idea of when it will be released. In the meantime, the studio has also released some special artwork to promote a new collaboration.

Jujutsu Kaisen Fans Have Several Exciting Projects to Look Forward to

Even though the main story concluded nearly two years ago, the franchise isn’t finished yet and plans to continue with new content. The upcoming fourth season of the anime will pick up the intense battle, focusing on Gojo’s students as they face incredibly strong enemies. Season three showed us how to potentially free Gojo from the Prison Realm, but the young sorcerers will have to overcome many challenges to actually do it.

Now that the first story arc is finished, the anime could also adapt the sequel manga. This short manga quickly became very popular in Japan, where all the volumes have already been published. An English release is expected this year, as it usually takes a few months to license and translate volumes from Shonen Jump. To celebrate the final volume’s release, MAPPA released a promotional video that has fans excited about a possible anime adaptation.

The story will continue in a new spin-off novel by popular horror writer Yumeaki Hirayama. While details are still secret, the original creator will oversee the project. However, after the conclusion of the Modulo arc, it’s uncertain if Akutami will create more sequels or spin-offs. Even so, Jujutsu Kaisen is expected to remain popular for a long time, with future releases and surprises planned to keep fans engaged.
