The Power prequel continues to show how Kanan evolves from a hopeful young man into the cold and calculating character we first saw in the original series, and season 5 quickly accelerates that transformation.
The first episode, “By Blood,” features Kanan taking an action with lasting consequences for the Thomas family. Meanwhile, Unique attempts to reassert himself in Queens as Breeze starts building his drug operation.
Fans of the Power universe have been waiting for Breeze’s introduction, and now Shameik Moore will play this key character from Southside. His connection with Kanan is expected to significantly change Kanan’s path.

The second episode of Power Book III: Raising Kanan season 5 will likely become available in the UK on June 20, 2026, through MGM+ on Prime Video.
In the US, episode 2 will arrive first on Friday 19 June 2026 on STARZ.
Fresh episodes come out every week. Viewers in the US can watch them on Fridays, while those in the UK get them the following day, on Saturdays.
New episodes become available on the STARZ app in the US at midnight Eastern Time, which is 5am in the UK. If you’re watching in the UK through MGM+ on Prime Video, episodes are released with the official UK schedule, which is on Saturdays. MGM+ and Prime Video haven’t announced a specific release time for the UK.
Power Book III: Raising Kanan season 5 release schedule

Here’s the release schedule: Episode 1, ‘By Blood,’ is available now. New episodes will be released on Fridays at 12 AM Eastern Time throughout June, July, and into August. Episodes 2 through 10 are currently untitled (‘TBC’) and will premiere on June 19th, 26th; July 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th, 31st; and August 7th and 14th.
Meanwhile, the expected UK release schedule is as follows:
I’m so excited for this series! The first episode, ‘By Blood,’ is already out – it premiered on June 13th, 2026. The rest of the episodes are coming every Saturday after that. Here’s the schedule as far as we know: June 20th, 27th, July 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th, August 1st, 8th, and the finale on August 15th. I can’t wait to see what happens!
In the US, episodes are also expected to air on the STARZ TV channel later on Fridays.
Is Power Book III: Raising Kanan season 5 the final season?
Yes, Power Book III: Raising Kanan season 5 is the final season of the spin-off.
In March 2024, STARZ announced the show would return for a fifth season, which will be its last.
But the Power story isn’t finished. The franchise will keep going with new spin-offs, like ‘Power: Origins,’ which will show how Ghost and Tommy first met and became who they are. This new series will follow up on the earlier stories told in ‘Raising Kanan’.

I’m really excited about the new additions to the cast! Shameik Moore is joining us as Breeze, and we’re also getting Joe Pantoliano as this intimidating Manhattan Mafia boss, Pino Bernardi. Plus, Leslie Grossman is coming on as Florence “Flossie” Siegel – I can’t wait to see what she brings to the show!
