We just received the trailer for “Spa Weekend,” and it feels similar to “The Hangover” – a funny, slightly raunchy comedy perfect for a late-summer watch with the girls.
The movie centers around Jane, Coco, and Sophie – three close friends who treat themselves to a relaxing weekend escape. Their peaceful trip takes a chaotic turn when their accident-prone friend, Mel, unexpectedly joins them, leading to plenty of funny moments.
The movie features a hilarious cast including Leslie Mann, Isla Fisher, Michelle Buteau, and Anna Faris, who is back with strong comedic timing after her success in ‘Scary Movie 6’. Isla Fisher brings her own comedy experience from being married to Sacha Baron Cohen, while Leslie Mann has starred in hits like ‘Blockers’, ‘Vacation’, and ‘The Forty-Year-Old Virgin’. Michelle Buteau may be less familiar to UK audiences, but she previously led the film ‘Babes’. The script is written and directed by Jon Lucas and Scott Moore – the team behind ‘The Hangover’ films – so you can expect a similar type of humor.
