Although the new releases for July are a bit limited, there are some highlights coming soon. Keep an eye out for Sparks of Tomorrow, a highly anticipated series from the famous Kyoto Animation studio, and Thunder 3, a sci-fi mystery that’s sure to appeal to fans of the genre. Both shows will be available worldwide on Netflix at the same time as their release in Japan.
What Is The Release Date of Thunder 3?
The popular manga by Yuki Ikeda is becoming an anime series that will debut on Netflix on July 8, 2026. Viewers in Japan will be able to watch it starting the following day. Fuji TV is producing the anime, with new episodes released every Wednesday. While the total number of episodes isn’t known yet, it’s likely to have around 12 or 13. Japanese fans can also attend a special early screening, and details are available on the official website.
This manga started appearing in Kodansha’s Shonen magazine in May 2022 and is still being published. Eight volumes have been released, and you can buy physical and digital copies in English on Kodansha’s website. You can also read the chapters online through the official K Manga app.
What Is The Plot of Thunder 3?
This popular sci-fi show centers around three regular kids who find a DVD promising access to a parallel universe. Trouble begins when Pyontaro’s little sister, Futaba, goes through the portal and is abducted by aliens—who have already taken over Earth! The boys then journey to another world to save her, not realizing what perils lie ahead.
This manga combines a cute, cartoon-like art style with a surprisingly realistic depiction of another world. While it looks cheerful and adorable, the story is actually quite complex and meaningful. The recently released trailer and key visual for the anime adaptation show that it’s staying true to the manga’s unique look and feel.
