It is known that several aspects of “Battlefield 6” have been disclosed, but there’s been curiosity about whether Electronic Arts (EA) intends to bring this franchise to the Nintendo Switch 2. Well, we now have an answer. In a conversation with Eurogamer, the head of “Battlefield 6”, Vince Zampella, has stated that the Switch 2 will not be hosting the large-scale competitive shooter game.
In an interview, Zampella stated that EA does not have plans at the moment to release Battlefield 6 on the Nintendo Switch 2. The reason being, the main platforms for the game – PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S – are where the primary audience for the Battlefield series resides. However, he expressed his personal fondness for the Nintendo Switch.
At a recent gathering, Electronic Arts (EA) disclosed several features concerning the multiplayer experience in Battlefield 6. Topics discussed ranged from game modes and character classes to specific battlefields where players will engage in combat. Information was unveiled across three separate trailers, which you can explore further in our coverage.
In the debut trailer, Battlefield 6 highlights an array of intense, dynamic gameplay experiences. This involves both infantry combat and maneuvering vehicles like cars or aircraft. Additionally, it offers a glimpse into the diverse movement possibilities players can utilize, along with the appearance, handling, and recoil effects of the weaponry.
In my gaming world, I got a sneak peek at what’s cooking in Battlefield 6, and lemme tell ya, it’s looking mighty fine! The latest trailer gave us a taste of the main gameplay mechanics, zeroing in on combat, class systems, and mind-blowing environmental destruction.
Now, I’ve got to say, classes are back with a vengeance in Battlefield 6. They’re introducing a brand new Signature Weapons system that rewards us for choosing the perfect weapon according to our squad role. For instance, the Assault class is all about being on the frontlines, packing heat with grenades and a variety of assault rifles. On the flip side, the Engineer is an anti-vehicle specialist, armed to the teeth with explosives and tools for supporting our allies’ vehicles with repairs.
It’s gonna be one heck of a ride! Can’t wait to dive in and give these classes a spin!
The third preview offered glimpses into the main gameplay modes such as Conquest, Rush, Breakthrough, along with the more compact ones like Team Deathmatch, Squad Deathmatch, King of the Hill, Domination, and Escalation. Additionally, it showcased various maps set in diverse locations worldwide, including Cairo, Egypt, and Brooklyn, USA.
The highly anticipated game, Battlefield 6, is set to launch on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S on October 10th. In preparation for the release, Electronic Arts (EA) has confirmed that there will be two beta phases for the title. The initial phase begins as a closed beta for Battlefield Labs testers on August 7th. This testing period will then expand to include everyone from August 9th until it ends on August 10th. A second open beta test commences on August 14th and concludes on August 17th.
