In simpler terms, you can expect Mortal Kombat Trilogy to join the Mortal Kombat Legacy Collection, releasing for both PS5 and PS4 towards the end of this year.
Earlier today at Evo, it was unveiled that a 1996 revision of Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, which wasn’t previously announced for the collection, will be included.
In case you’re unaware, significant updates in Mortal Kombat Trilogy were the inclusion of the Brutality system and the Aggressor bar. The Aggressor bar grows each time a character launches an attack. When it’s fully charged, it provides temporary enhancements for movement and damage.

This classic game was initially launched on platforms such as PlayStation 1 (PS1), Nintendo 64 (N64), Sega Saturn, PC, as well as less successful systems like Game.com and R-Zone. However, we’re yet to specify which editions will be emulated here. It’s likely that the PS1 and N64 versions will definitely be included in our lineup.
