Nine launch maps for Battlefield 6 have been unveiled, and among them is a remake of a beloved fan-favorite map from Battlefield 3. The Battlefield series is renowned for having some of the finest maps in the first-person shooter (FPS) genre. Maps such as Operation Metro, Wake Island, Caspian Border, Arica Harbor, and others have played a significant role in shaping the franchise’s reputation as one of the great shooter series. These maps contribute to a sense of grandeur for massive battles that span land, sea, and air, while also offering an abundance of objects that can be destroyed with explosives or gunfire. The quality of these maps is crucial to the overall experience, as they can make or break the gameplay.
After mentioning it, I went to an unveiling event for Battlefield 6 and learned about all the maps that will be available at the game’s release. I had the opportunity to try out four of these maps during my gaming session, which means I’ve personally experienced nearly half of the launch map selection. Let’s delve into detailed explanations of each map in Battlefield 6’s lineup at launch, as provided by EA.
All Battlefield 6 Launch Maps
Siege of Cairo
Gear up for fierce street battles amidst central Cairo. In the Siege of Cairo, combat is a thrilling dance between foot soldiers and armored vehicles. Engage in alley fights, seek cover behind buildings, and always keep an eye on your back.
Empire State
“An infantry-only map featuring explosive engagements, set in the iconic streets of Brooklyn.”
Iberian Offensive
Race swiftly along the maze-like paths of Gibraltar, explore its narrow lanes, or strategically bring down a key structure to gain an upper hand.
Liberation Peak
Greetings! You’ve arrived at the breathtaking slopes of Tajikistan. This expansive rocky landscape serves as a strategic shelter for fighter jets and helicopters during air combat maneuvers, or grants an elevation edge to foot soldiers and armored vehicles.
Saints Quarter
This map is ideal for intense, swift infantry battles at short ranges, modeled after the historic district of Gibraltar featuring a central fountain and collapsible buildings.
Manhattan Bridge
This map positions squads for a high-stakes confrontation under the Manhattan Bridge. Prepare for intense street fights using firearms at close range, soar into battle aboard a gunship, or alter the course of conflict with extensive demolition.
New Sobek City
Experience combat in different ways: march forward as an infantry soldier in the scorching heat, push the frontline from inside a tank, or soar above it all in an attack helicopter. This action takes place in a construction site on the outskirts of New Sobek City, a suburb of Cairo, where a full-scale war is being waged across construction sites and vast sand dunes.
Mirak Valley
At its initial release, Kudara Valley stands out as the most extensive battlefield. This vast battleground teems with various types of vehicles and serves as a hotspot for intense combat action.
Operation Firestorm
Once again, the iconic map from ‘Battlefield 3’ makes its appearance! Engage in intense battles over a blazing oil field, utilizing infantry, tanks, helicopters, and even fighter jets!
On October 10th, Battlefield 6 will be available on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and personal computers. Additionally, a beta version of the game is scheduled for release in August.
