The story was inspired by the film *The Wages of Fear*, which follows truckers transporting nitroglycerin – a highly explosive substance – on treacherous roads.
Ice Road: Vengeance isn’t a direct continuation of the first movie’s story or setting. Instead, the sequel follows Mike as he travels to Mount Everest to honor his deceased brother by scattering his ashes.
