Good news for fans of the A Court of Thorns and Roses series! The long wait for book six is almost over, and book seven is also on the way – and it’s set to be bigger than ever. Author Sarah J. Maas has announced the release date for the next installment after a five-year gap, and revealed that the story will be told in four parts, released across three books. This expanded story should more than make up for the wait, especially since both books six and seven are arriving sooner than expected.
The sixth book in the A Court of Thorns and Roses series will be released on October 27th, and the seventh book will follow on January 12th. While the sixth book will answer many of our questions about the overall story, the seventh book promises to be special too – it’s breaking two series records, which should make it an amazing read.
A Court of Thorns and Roses 7 Will Mark the Shortest Gap Between Books

It’s been five years since A Court of Silver Flames and fans are eagerly awaiting the sixth book in the A Court of Thorns and Roses series. Sarah J. Maas used to release a new book about once a year, which kept readers engaged with the world of Prythian. However, the wait for book seven is even longer than usual, but surprisingly, the gap between it and A Court of Silver Flames is the shortest ever – only three months! While the books will continue one ongoing story, this quick turnaround is still really exciting for fans.
The seventh book in the A Court of Thorns and Roses series is setting records in more than one way, and these achievements are particularly impressive when considered together. The quick turnaround between books is remarkable, but the length of the next installment is what’s really generating excitement.
ACOTAR Book 7 Will Be the Series’ Longest Installment So Far

Not only will the seventh book in the ACOTAR series likely be released sooner than expected, but it’s also set to be the longest one yet – and that’s saying something, considering how lengthy Sarah J. Maas’s sequels usually are! Currently, the hardcover is listed at 928 pages. While that number isn’t final, Maas has confirmed that the story originally planned for two parts will now be combined into a single, larger book. This means it will almost certainly be longer than previous installments like A Court of Mist and Fury and A Court of Wings and Ruin (both over 600 pages), and it’s expected to surpass A Court of Silver Flames (around 750 pages), which currently holds the record for the longest book in the series.
Fans won’t have to wait long for the seventh book in the A Court of Thorns and Roses series, and it’s expected to be a substantial release. After a long wait for a new installment, this book is sure to be a thrilling and welcome addition for readers.
