I was really excited to hear that one of my favorite, lesser-known Isekai anime is finally getting a second season on Crunchyroll! Fans have been hoping for this for four years, and it’s great news. This year has already been fantastic for Isekai shows, and it looks like we’ll continue to get both brand new series and the return of some long-awaited favorites. It’s especially satisfying when a show you enjoy, and that maybe didn’t get a lot of attention initially, gets another chance.
Fans of Isekai anime have a lot to look forward to, with several popular franchises returning for new seasons. Even some lesser-known shows, like Skeleton Knight in Another World, are getting continued. After its first season finished in 2022, a second season has been confirmed to premiere on July 4th as part of the Summer 2026 anime lineup, so be sure to mark your calendars!
Skeleton Knight in Another World Season 2 Confirms Release Date
I’m so excited to share that Season 2 of Skeleton Knight in Another World is officially coming on July 4th! And get this – Crunchyroll will be the only place to stream it outside of Japan. But the best part? We’re getting a sneak peek at the premiere during Crunchyroll Anime Nights in US theaters on June 15th! They’re showing it alongside the premieres of Clevatess Season 2, Young Girls Don’t Play Fighting Games, and even more surprises, so it’s going to be an amazing night!
Season 2 of Skeleton Knight in Another World is bringing back the original team! Katsumi Ono will direct at Aura Studio, with Toru Imanishi returning as character designer and Yoshihiro Nagamori handling monster designs. The only change is that Toshizo Nemoto is now in charge of writing. Even though it’s been four years since Season 1, you should be able to easily pick up the story where it left off. What to Know for Skeleton Knight in Another World Season 2
The second season of Skeleton Knight in Another World will bring back familiar voice actors like Tomoaki Maeno as Arc, Ai Fairouz as Arianne, Nene Hieda as Ponta, Miyu Tomita as Chiyome, and Takuya Eguchi as Danka. Joining the cast for the new season are Toshihiko Seki as Villiers Fim, Kensho Ono as Sasuke, Kenji Akabane as Palurumo, Go Shinomiya as Baltord, Hitomi Ueda as Tsubone, and Junichi Suwabe as Thanatos.
Crunchyroll is giving fans a sneak peek at the upcoming season! The story follows Arc, who suddenly finds himself living as the character he played in a video game—but in a completely new world. Now appearing as a skeletal knight in full armor, he must hide his true identity to avoid being hunted as a monster. Arc plans to lay low and work as a mercenary, but he can’t ignore injustice when he sees it happening around him.
