If you’ve been on social media lately, you might have noticed a strange game gaining popularity – it’s simply about digging a hole, and that’s pretty much it.
The game, called ‘A Game About Digging a Hole,’ was very popular on computers and is now being released for gaming consoles.
The viral hit indie title is tunnelling through to PS5 on 9th December 2025:
The game is exactly what you’d expect: you dig a hole outside your house to find buried treasure.

While digging, you’ll uncover resources that you can sell for money. Use that money to improve your digging equipment and speed up the process.
The game has a basic cycle of action and reward, but the added intrigue of discovering hidden content creates a brief, yet captivating, experience.
The game only costs £4.29 on Steam, and we expect it’ll be around the same on PS Store.
