Netflix has been increasingly involved in anime, and recently announced a major partnership with the renowned animation studio MAPPA, known for hits like Chainsaw Man and Jujutsu Kaisen. Anime fans are excited to see what they create together. However, one popular anime series currently available only on Netflix will soon be removed from the platform, leaving its future uncertain.
The popular anime series Fate first gained recognition with Fate/stay night and has expanded significantly since its start as a visual novel in 2004. It now includes multiple video games and anime adaptations. Fate/Apocrypha was originally a Netflix exclusive, arriving on the platform in 2017. However, it will be removed from Netflix on February 8th, leaving fans unsure where they’ll be able to watch it next. Currently, only episodes 13 through 25 are available on Netflix, and the first twelve episodes are not. If you’re interested in watching Fate/Apocrypha, you only have a few days left to do so on Netflix.
What is Fate/Apocrypha?

Released in 2017 by A-1 Pictures – the studio behind popular series like Solo Leveling and Sword Art Online – Fate/Apocrypha has a unique origin. Unlike many other Fate series which started as video games, Apocrypha began as a light novel written by Yuichiro Higashide with art by Ototsugu Konoe. Netflix describes the story as follows: “When the Greater Grail is stolen from Fuyuki City, it creates a new timeline and an unusually large Holy Grail War.”
Crunchyroll is a great place to watch many anime series from the Fate franchise, including Fate/stay night, Fate/strange Fake, Fate/Zero, Fate/Grand Carnival, and Fate/Grand Order. Fans are hoping Crunchyroll will add Apocrypha to its lineup soon, though there’s no official announcement yet.
Netflix is losing the anime series Fate next month, but it’s adding several new titles to make up for it. Expect to see Baki-Dou, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Run, and The Ramparts of Ice later this year. Plus, popular anime like Beastars, Sakamoto Days, Pokémon Horizons, Dorohedoro, and Blue Box are returning to Netflix. Hopefully, this means the platform won’t lose any more anime series soon.
