The new American Girl doll modeled after Wednesday Addams comes with her signature style: braided hair, black-painted fingernails and toenails, black kitten heels, and a velvet black dress. Collectors will find a detachable faux-obsidian necklace that switches between the letters “W” and “M”, reminiscent of Morticia’s gift in the first episode. To make it even more special, the doll comes with a Thing figurine and two plastic bags filled with piranhas, inspired by the iconic opening scene from the show.

Experience the enigma that is Wednesday Addams, now available as a highly collectible doll from American Girl! This $275 doll, arriving on July 23 at Amazon and AmericanGirl.com, showcases Wednesday’s unique charm – her inquisitive mind, dark wit, and aversion to all things colorful. Dressed in her signature attire, complete with long black pigtails, dark fingernails, and a black velvet gown, she also carries Thing, her cherished Addams Family companion. However, don’t forget to keep an eye on those two bags of hungry piranhas she travels with! This limited-edition collector doll, designed in collaboration between American Girl and Amazon MGM Studios, is one of only 6,000 worldwide.
Will There be An American Girl Movie?
Just prior to Barbie’s blockbuster release in 2023, Mattel shifted gears into movie production, working on approximately 45 toy-centric films. Among these were a live-action Thomas & Friends, a Daniel Kaluuya-produced Barney film for A24, and a live-action American Girl doll movie for Paramount. Regrettably, there’s been no news since then, but who knows what the future holds? Projects like the Jon M Chu directed and JJ Abrams produced Hot Wheels seem to be more of Mattel’s focus at the moment. However, the American Girl brand continues to thrive, as shown in this fantastic Wednesday Collab.
