CangMo Game Entertainment has revealed the first look at gameplay and screenshots for A Whisper of Fall: Jinyiwei, an action RPG originally called Project: Jinyiwei. The game, supported by the PlayStation China Hero Project, will be released on PlayStation 5 and PC through Steam, the Epic Games Store, and WeMade. A specific release date hasn’t been announced yet.

A Whisper of Fall: Jinyiwei is an action RPG with martial arts combat set in ancient China. Players can move fluidly through environments with parkour, participate in dynamic martial arts duels, and master counterattacks. The game immerses you in the complex relationships and conflicts of the jianghu – the world of martial artists. A unique feature is the ‘deduction’ ability, which lets you travel back in time within each level, explore alternate scenarios, and experience a gameplay style built around branching possibilities.

In A Whisper of Fall: Jinyiwei, you take on the role of a simple boatman who unexpectedly becomes a secret agent. After a surprising event, you’re compelled to go undercover within the Jinyiwei – the elite Imperial Guards of the Ming Dynasty – working for the black market.

As a member of the Jinyiwei, you’ll improve your fighting abilities while completing assignments for both the Imperial Guard and the shadowy black market. The more you investigate, the more you’ll uncover a huge, hidden conspiracy.

Use your insightful ability to predict what will happen next, navigate between competing groups, and find your own path through a world of uncertainty and many possibilities.

Step into the turbulent late Ming Dynasty, a period of decline and upheaval in Chinese history. Experience the thrilling world of Wuxia, where your decisions determine your fate. Navigate a path of challenges, and witness the consequences of both success and failure as you strive to survive.

You play as a wandering knight with incredible skills – you can sneak around, walk on walls, and jump across rooftops. You’ll battle enemies and become immersed in a world of martial arts, complete with its dramas, bonds, and rivalries.

As a member of the Jinyiwei, you’re a skilled investigator who can crack cases with just a few well-placed questions. You can relentlessly question suspects and use your sharp reasoning to pinpoint the real criminal and bring them to justice.

Surrounded by secrets and intrigue, what will you do? Will you be a hero defending your country and its citizens, a quiet official seeking stability, or forge your own unique destiny?
