On ScreenTime’s post featuring an image of Batman asking who should portray him in James Gunn’s DCU, several suggestions were made, but one that caught attention quickly was from WWE superstar The Viper, Randy Orton. Before his bout tonight on Saturday Night’s Main Event, Orton expressed his interest in the role by retweeting and adding a casual wave, signaling his intention to play Batman in the next film.

The suggestion also attracted additional replies, one of which was from WWE star Austin Creed, better known as Xavier Woods. Creed expressed his enthusiasm for Orton taking on the role of Batman and even proposed a character he could portray in a DC movie. His message read, “I fully support this idea. If you need someone to play The Riddler, I’m your man.
Presently, there’s only one actor portraying Batman in any DC movie project at the moment, and that’s Robert Pattinson, starring in the upcoming sequel to The Batman. However, this movie doesn’t share continuity with other DC properties like Superman, Creature Commandos, Supergirl, Green Lantern, or the other upcoming films and series on DC’s lineup. This new version of Batman is shrouded in a lot of intrigue, with only a brief, distant glimpse of him seen in Creature Commandos so far.
In a way that suits him perfectly, Orton could embody an intimidating Dark Knight. It’s tempting to imagine him portraying a truly imposing Batman someday, surpassing the mainline universe’s version. As for the future of the Dark Knight on the silver screen, only time will tell. For now, Orton is busy with numerous upcoming events in WWE.
Tonight, Orton has a one-on-one battle with Drew McIntyre, but it looks like he might team up for a significant Tag Team fight at SummerSlam alongside a well-known musician. This evening’s guest star was Jelly Roll, who had his performance interrupted by Logan Paul during this week’s SmackDown. After being chased off by Orton, Paul retaliated against Orton, which McIntyre capitalized on to conclude the segment. As a result, tonight’s match finds both Paul and Jelly Roll standing in their partners’ corners.
Based on the current situation, it seems highly probable that we’ll witness a Tag Team battle at SummerSlam. John Cena (Orton) will join forces with Jelly Roll, while McIntyre will team up with Paul.
