I really enjoyed SmackDown tonight! It felt like they were setting the stage for some amazing matches at Survivor Series and WarGames, especially hinting at a rivalry between Cody Rhodes and Aleister Black, and another between Jade Cargill and Charlotte Flair. But the biggest surprise for me was seeing a fantastic NXT star brought up to SmackDown! It instantly made their roster even stronger and created what looks like a seriously powerful new tag team. I’m excited to see where this all goes!
Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair have been on high alert across all WWE brands – Raw, SmackDown, and NXT. Tonight on SmackDown, Nia Jax confronted Alexa, leading to a match with Charlotte. Nia has listened to advice and found a new ally in NXT’s Lash Legend, who is now officially a member of the SmackDown roster.
The match between Jax and Flair was nearing its end, with Flair looking like the likely winner. Suddenly, while Bliss was supporting Flair from the sidelines, Legend ran from the crowd and attacked her, grabbing her near the ring’s barrier. Flair saw the attack, got distracted, and that brief lapse in focus allowed Jax to quickly turn the tables and secure the victory.
At first, it wasn’t clear if Legend had officially joined the main WWE roster, but commentators confirmed it during the show. Later, Jax confirmed Legend’s position on SmackDown in a backstage interview. When asked about their new partnership, Jax spoke highly of Legend, saying she’s a strong competitor. Jax explained, “I wrestled Lash in NXT, and she’s a really tough opponent, which is why I’m happy to work with her.”
Legend has quickly made a strong impression on fans and WWE staff with her appearances on the main roster. She’s already appeared more often than most current NXT performers, even participating in a premium live event. This experience should help her move smoothly from NXT to SmackDown. Plus, teaming her with Jax gives WWE a potentially dominant force in the tag team division.

Legend has already proven herself as a strong competitor, both in past matches and at the Royal Rumble. Teaming her up with Jax immediately creates a powerful duo capable of competing with anyone. Once Bliss and Flair finish their run as Women’s Tag Team Champions, this new team could easily take their place until a team of fan favorites can defeat them.
It’s unclear what will happen next, but this surprising development is a positive step for SmackDown and adds even more excitement to the Women’s Tag Team division.
