
A24’s new movie, based on Holly Brickley’s book Deep Cuts, is facing criticism after the studio chose Odessa A’zion, known for her role in Marty Supreme, to star in it.
I was really excited to hear A’zion was cast as Zoe Gutierrez, the main character! Zoe’s background – she’s half-Jewish and half-Mexican – is a huge part of the story.
