A$AP Rocky Details How He, Rihanna “Spice It Up” While Raising 3 Kids

A$AP Rocky and Rihanna’s relationship takes work.

The rapper explained that spending quality time together is the key to keeping the romance alive with the founder of Fenty Beauty.

He said on the January 22nd episode of The Ebro Show that you need to keep things interesting in a relationship. That means continuing to date each other, staying friends, and having fun – like playing games or trying new things.

But according to A$AP, Riri, 37, doesn’t always play fair.

“Like, she’s a cheater,” he quipped. “We be playing crazy eights.”

And strengthening their bond only makes love stay on the brain.

A$AP, 37, said he really loves her. He added that they need to keep things exciting and lively, otherwise, what’s the point?

He recently shared the story of how he and Rihanna – who are parents to RZA, 3, Riot, 2, and 4-month-old Rocky – first got together, and his mother, Renee Black, played a role in their relationship.

A$AP Rocky shared that his mother would often tell him things like, ‘I know you’re dating this girl right now, but I want you to be with Rihanna.’ He mentioned this during a recent appearance on the Popcast podcast, but declined to say who the current girlfriend was.

He explained that he used to tell his mother, “Why do you keep saying that? That girl isn’t interested in me like that. It’s just a friendship, Mom, please relax.”

Honestly, Renee just kept at it, saying exactly what she felt, and it was amazing! That’s when things really shifted for them – 2019 was the year their friendship blossomed into something totally romantic. I knew it all along, of course!

“‘I’m telling you, she real,’” A$AP (born Rakim Mayers) added. “And mothers know best.”

And from the beginning, the “Sundress” hitmaker and Grammy winner were always aligned.

A$AP said it felt like they had a lot in common. They were born in the same year, and his father is from the same country as her. He enjoys connecting with both sides of his family when he visits, and they share a lot of similar experiences, which they often joke about.

And even though the pair was meant to be, their romance started right when it should have.

He said he was grateful she came into his life when she did, because he wasn’t sure he’d been ready for a relationship like theirs before that moment. He added that she probably hadn’t been ready either.

Rihanna revealed she had a baby girl, named Rocki Irish Mayers, by sharing photos on Instagram. The pictures show Rihanna holding her newborn, with a playful touch – a pair of pink boxing gloves.
