Created by Quinta Brunson, the show is a funny, realistic look at a public school in West Philadelphia with limited resources and a diverse student body.
Quinta Brunson plays Janine Teagues, a relentlessly positive second-grade teacher, on the show Abbott Elementary. The series also stars Tyler James Williams, Lisa Ann Walter, Chris Perfetti, and Sheryl Lee Ralph as teachers Gregory Eddie, Melissa Schemmenti, Jacob Hill, and Barbara Howard. Janelle James plays the principal, Ava Coleman, and William Stanford Davis plays the school custodian, Mr. Johnson.
