Abby Hensel’s husband Josh Bowling is setting the record straight.
Following an alleged TikTok account that supposedly represents Abby and her conjoined twin Brittany Hensel apparently validated online speculation about a new addition to Abby and Josh’s family, Josh unequivocally denied any connection with the account or any desire to publicize their private lives on social media.
In his September 8th statement to People, Josh explained that he wasn’t certain who was managing the TikTok account, but it appeared to be someone who had downloaded a large number of pictures from his mother’s Facebook account.
In 2021, Josh got married to Abby. Interestingly enough, neither of them has ever created a TikTok account, and over the past few years, they and their relatives have set their Facebook profiles to private.
According to him, the photographs used by the account clearly indicate they have no affiliation. He elaborated, “We began utilizing images readily accessible to the media and public at large. I can assure you with certainty that we are not the source of these photos.
Josh mentioned that the TikTok account, which started in 2021, hadn’t been a concern or topic of discussion for him and his sisters until quite recently.
Recently, there’s been quite a lot of press coverage about something that we weren’t particularly eager for, he noted. Initially, we thought it was just someone trying to exploit the situation, so we decided not to comment on it. However, once the media started believing it might be us, I felt it necessary to address the matter.
Additionally, despite acknowledging the intense curiosity about whether he and Abby have become parents lately, Josh, who is the father of Isabella Bowling with his former spouse Annica Bowling, once again declined to discuss this topic publicly. Neither Brittany nor Abby has made any official statement regarding the baby speculations.
In my perspective as a devoted admirer, though Abby and Brittany, both aged 35, have generally kept a low profile, preferring infrequent public appearances, their TLC show titled “Abby & Brittany” offers a captivating peek into their personal lives.
On the 2012 show, they mentioned that they each had two licenses and when they got their driver’s license, they had to take the test and they both passed. When they drive, Abby controls the gas and brakes while both of them steer. Brittany is in charge of the turn signals.
For more on the twins’ lives together, keep reading.
Abby and Brittany were both born on March 7, 1990. Their mother, Patty Hensel, revealed in a 2007 documentary titled “Extraordinary People: The Twins Who Share a Body,” that she was anticipating the birth of just one child according to ultrasound scans. At their birth, Abby and Brittany were found to have three arms; however, one of them was non-functional, so it was later removed.
Patty and her spouse, Mike Hensel, were informed that Abby and Brittany were inseparable infants. Although Patty suggested that separation could potentially occur as the girls grew older, their parents opted to keep them joined because they managed to lead a complete, thriving life together.
Abby and Brittany clarified in the 2007 documentary that they were grateful for not being separated because it allowed them to enjoy activities such as playing softball, meeting new people, and running together.
In a 2007 documentary, Abby and Brittany shared that they frequently predict each other’s responses when composing emails or messages online. They usually present themselves as a single entity, using the term “we” most of the time. However, when there’s a disagreement, they clearly distinguish their separate opinions by saying “Abby says” or “Brittany says.
They also now share singular social media accounts, which are private and mostly inactive.
Abby and Brittany often acknowledge the interest others show in their lives, yet they sometimes find themselves annoyed by the response they receive in public, particularly when strangers snap their pictures without asking for consent.
Abby clarified in 2007 that she strongly dislikes it when people snap photos of her. If someone does, she might react angrily and make the person feel awkward about it.
Furthermore, doctors had an interest in monitoring the health and development of Mike and Patty Hensel’s daughters as children; however, these parents chose not to undergo any additional, non-essential medical tests for their girls. Brittany and Abby also expressed that they disliked visiting the doctor’s office during that period.
In 2007, Dr. Joy Westerdahl clarified that although they are special cases, the family prefers to regard them as regular individuals. She added she must respect the family’s desire for a non-intrusive approach.
Following her wedding with nurse and veteran Josh Bowling on November 13, 2021, Abby acquired an additional family member – his daughter Isabella. Although the news took the public by surprise, both Abby and Brittany had long nurtured dreams of starting a family together.
2006 saw me exclaiming with glee, “Indeed, we’re about to embark on motherhood!” in the show “Joined for Life: Abby & Brittany Turn 16”. It’s true that the practicalities of being moms haven’t crossed our minds just yet.
In their early thirties, Abby and Brittany have continued to keep their personal lives private since the airing of “Abby & Brittany” in 2012. This reality show followed the two women during their college years as they transitioned into adulthood.
After finishing college, Abby and Brittany started teaching jobs right away. Upon being employed, they mentioned that they weren’t on a salary, instead receiving individual contracts, which meant they divided their earnings.
They currently teach fifth grade together at an elementary school in Minnesota.
Abby shared that she excels in math and science during an episode of Abby & Brittany. While Brittany concentrates on language arts, reading, and similar subjects.
